Who You Are:

The Payroll Implementation Data Analyst is responsible for detailed analyses and accuracy of all aspects on accounts and balancing of payroll wages. The position requires personnel to work closely with the Implementation Managers, as a team, to ensure the accuracy of all new clients. The Implementation Payroll Analyst evaluates compliance standards, system accuracy, and provides audit reports for balancing. The Implementation Payroll Analyst will also assist in finding solutions for discrepancies as necessary and be open to sharing and suggesting processes or procedure improvements.

What You'll Do:

  • Collaborate with Customer to collect data for Prior Wage information, Retirement plan YTD, PTO balances and other data for implementation.
  • Stay current on federal and state payroll laws, including minimum wage rates and garnishment compliance
  • Excel in Customer Service, Payroll, and Payroll Tax knowledge to produce the best client experience
  • Responsible for reviewing documentation and comparing to the system to ensure accuracy
  • Balance prior year-to-date history and ensure tax liabilities are accurate
  • Thoroughly audit and verify all aspects of the implementation process
  • Resolve complex issues regarding federal and state taxable income to ensure it matches client documentation
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to fast-paced environment
  • Conduct general payroll and tax research related to compliance as needed
  • Assist in establishing systems and procedures to reduce labor, payroll, and tax reporting discrepancies
  • Work closely with the Payroll Tax Department to proactively seek any tax discrepancies
  • Research system capabilities and changes to effectively audit accounts
  • Attend training to continuously stay abreast of system and industry changes
  • Assist with HRCloud training during high volume times
  • Other job duties as assigned

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or Business Administration, or related field is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Co-Pilot (AI)
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Needs to have a minimum of 5 years of multi-state payroll processing and/or payroll tax experience
  • Must be able to prioritize, solve problems, take initiative, maintain confidentiality of sensitive personnel information
  • Proven ability to remain flexible in the face of change and changing priorities
  • Excellent analytical and independent thinking skills
  • FPC/CPP certifications are highly encouraged
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment.
