Who You Are:

As the Manager of Account Management, you are a strategic leader and team builder who thrives in a fast-paced, client-focused environment. You will oversee a team of Account Managers (AMs), guiding their development and performance while ensuring alignment with company goals and client satisfaction. You are passionate about cultivating strong relationships, driving operational excellence, and fostering a culture of accountability and growth. 

What You'll Do:

  • Team Leadership & Development 
  • Lead, mentor, and coach a team of Account Managers to deliver exceptional client service and relationship management. 
  • Foster a client-first culture centered around proactive communication, responsiveness, and strategic partnership. 
  • Establish performance expectations and conduct regular performance reviews. 
  • Client Relationship Oversight 
  • Monitor client satisfaction across the team’s portfolio; identify risks to retention and lead proactive strategies to address concerns. 
  • Partner with senior leadership on escalated client issues, ensuring timely resolution and client confidence. 
  • Support Account Managers with executive-level client meetings, renewals, and strategic business reviews. 
  • Operational Excellence 
  • Drive consistency in service delivery, communication standards, and client engagement practices. 
  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners, Payroll, Benefits, and Compliance leaders to ensure seamless service delivery. 
  • Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as retention, client satisfaction, and responsiveness to ensure service excellence. 
  • Strategic Contributions 
  • Provide feedback and insights to senior leadership on client trends, product/service opportunities, and operational improvements. 
  • Support the development and refinement of client service strategies, tools, and processes to continuously enhance the client experience. 
  • Partner with Sales and Implementation teams to ensure a smooth onboarding process for new clients, setting them up for long-term success. 

What You Bring:

  • 6-10 years of experience in account management, client services, or a related field, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role. 
  • Proven success in managing high-performing teams and driving client outcomes. 
  • Strong business acumen and executive presence; comfortable engaging with senior-level client contacts. 
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and conflict resolution skills. 
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to problem-solving and team development. 
  • Experience in HR, PEO, ASO, HR software, or benefits-related industries is highly desirable. 
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required. 
  • Salary: 120k - $150k commensurate on experience.
