Who You Are:

We have an exciting opportunity for an Account Specialist supporting the Client Sponsored Plans (CSP) team in carrying out the day-to-day account management for a group of 50+ small and mid-sized PEO clients sponsoring their own health insurance program.  The position will exclusively support ExtensisHR.   

What You'll Do:

As an Account Manager, you will play a hands-on role in the success of our strategic partnership with ExtensisHR, a fast-growing HR company. This is a wonderful career opportunity to use the latest benefits technology to help shape the next phase of growth of the strategic partnership. You will work in collaboration with Senior Account Manager to manage the HR companies’ client sponsored group health insurance plans, including administration, marketing, customer service, billing and claims advocacy. Responsibilities include:

  • Acknowledges and immediately responds to any client requests. Sets expectation timeline with clients for any issues or inquiries, and follows up with clients on resolution once available.
  • Responsible for taking the lead on all existing client renewals within your specific book of business and ensuring that all deadlines are met.
  • Collects, organizes, and provides all client renewal benefit setup information to the Benefit Operations team for HRIS system setup.
  • Ensures that all renewals have assigned deadlines, and the complete renewal is received back to ExtensisHR within 30 days of the effective date.
  • Acts as backup for overflow and/or absent benefits team members to support client needs and deadlines.
  • Supports Benefit Operations and Implementation teams in researching and resolving administrative and operational issues.
  • Attend or lead client benefits orientation meetings as needed for those existing clients making changes to their benefit offerings.
  • Responsible for documenting all client interactions timely and accurately in the ExtensisHR’s client database system.
  • Keeps current on industry trends and products.

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience working for a broker agency or benefit administration firm
  • Valid producer license in NJ, NY – ability to obtain licensure in other states as needed
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly organized with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced high volume production environment
  • Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
