Who You Are:

The VP of Information Systems will assist the Chief Information Officer (CIO) in managing the technology strategy, operations, cyber security, and infrastructure of a service bureau B2B business. This role will focus on aligning technology initiatives with the company’s business objectives, optimizing technology operations, and ensuring effective service delivery to clients. The position will play a critical role in driving digital transformation, managing teams, and ensuring cybersecurity and compliance across the organization.

What You'll Do:

  • Technology Strategy and Execution: Support the CIO in developing and executing strategies that align with the company’s business goals and client needs.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop cross-functional technology teams, ensuring a high-performance culture and talent development.
  • Technology Stack Management: Oversee the management of the company’s technology infrastructure, including cloud services, data centers, and enterprise systems.
  • Software Development and Management: Ensure the effective deployment of software and development of tools using best practices like Agile and DevOps methodologies.
  • Service Delivery: Manage technology service delivery to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring SLAs are met, and operational efficiency is maximized.
  • Vendor Management: Maintain strong relationships with technology vendors and service providers, negotiating contracts and managing performance.
  • Cybersecurity and Compliance: Partner with Risk Management to ensure robust cybersecurity measures are in place and that the organization complies with relevant regulations and industry standards .
  • Business Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process automation and operational optimization to improve service delivery and reduce costs.
  • Project Management: Oversee large-scale technology projects, managing timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful delivery.
  • Risk and Crisis Management: Develop and manage disaster recovery plans, business continuity processes, and risk management strategies to safeguard the organization’s technology assets.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to ensure technology initiatives support broader organizational goals and client needs.

What You Bring:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (Master’s degree or MBA preferred).

 

Experience:

  • 10+ years of technology leadership and/or experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven experience managing technology operations in a B2B environment, preferably within a service bureau or similar industry.
  • Experience leading large, cross-functional technology teams and working closely with C-level executives.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong understanding of technology infrastructure, cloud technologies, enterprise architecture, and software development life cycles.
  • Expertise in cybersecurity, data protection, and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong understanding of emerging AI technologies and their practical application within a service bureau
  • Business Acumen:
    • Experience aligning technology initiatives with business goals, with a focus on improving operational efficiency and client satisfaction.
    • Strong vendor management and contract negotiation skills.
    • Ability to analyze data and apply data-driven decision-making to optimize processes.
  • Leadership Skills:
    • Proven experience in change management and leading digital transformation initiatives.
    • Ability to mentor and develop technology talent and create a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Project Management: Strong project management skills with a track record of overseeing successful large-scale technology projects.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and executives
